London bus is treat for pupils

CHILDREN leaving Headley Park Primary School went out in style – with a tour of the city on a London bus.

The 45 children dressed up for the occasion and the red double- decker was also trimmed with bows.

The 11-year-olds raised the money for the end-of-year treat themselves by running raffles, a disco, and stalls and games at the school fair.

All the Year 6 children were involved in their last joint activity before starting at schools including Bedminster Down, Ashton Park, Merchants’ Academy and Chew Valley in September.

Mum Samantha Smart, whose son Jack took part, said: “The boys were wearing tuxedos and looking really special. This is something they will remember.”
